By running for Epilepsy Research UK you will be helping to fund ground-breaking research that will help change the future for people with epilepsy.
We support research carried out by teams throughout the UK. Every project we fund is rigorously assessed by a panel of experts to ensure it has the potential to advance our understanding of the condition and improvements in the treatment of those with epilepsy.
• There is no known cure for epilepsy
• Over 30% of people with epilepsy have seizures that do not respond to drug treatment
• In over 60% of cases there is no known cause
• Every year 1,000 people die as a result of epilepsy.
