Run For Candlelighters
Childhood Cancer is the most common cause of non-accidental death in children over the age of one. Established in 1976, Candlelighters provides practical and emotional support for families whose children are being treated at the Regional Children's and Teenage Cancer and Leukaemia Unit at St. James's Hospital in Leeds. Relying entirely on voluntary donations to support it's work, the charity provides funding for equipment, nursing, medical and support staff and funds a comprehensive research programme into childhood cancer.
If you already have a place we'd love to have you running with us in the worlds biggest half marathon, the BUPA Great North Run on 5th October. If your entry through the ballot is not successful don't despair, we have charity places available for the run in return for your pledge to raise a minimum of £300.
Candlelighter's Team Runners will receive:
- Running Vest or T shirt
- Sponsorship Forms
- Fundraising support and advice
- Access to your own mini-fundraising page on the Just Giving Site
- Post Race Refreshment in our Hospitality Marquee
Every penny raised really will make a difference
